It may happen that the patient is not satisfied with the result after filling an area with hyaluronic acid. If the treatment is not performed by the right specialist, it may happen that too much filler is injected or it is not placed in the right place.
This problem can be corrected with the so-called hyaluronidase active ingredient. Hyaluronidase provides an opportunity to create a “blank canvas” by removing the effects of failed injections.
Hyaluronidase dissolves and removes the hyaluronic acid-based filler from the body within 1-2 days. At our clinic, we use the Hyaluronidase PBSerum (non-animal origin) serum, which dissolves and removes part or all of the hyaluronic acid injected into the skin in a few days, after which the skin returns to its previous state. The area can be corrected with a hyaluronic acid filler already one week after the previous filler has been released.
Treatment may be necessary in the following cases:
If we want to remove unnecessary filler - it may happen that the need/problem does not appear immediately after the procedure, but sometimes several months or even years later. When solving the problem, it is important to choose the correct dose of the active ingredient so as not to damage the molecules outside the treated area;
If the filler is in the wrong place - helps to get rid of the signs of hypercorrection and migration of the filler, which often happens when it is injected superficially, or the injection technique is not correct, or perhaps when the wrong material is delivered to the area, for example, if the filler injected is too dense and is placed under very thin skin;
It prevents the formation of necrosis, as one of the most dangerous complications of contouring, which occurs as a result of blood embolism after the wrong introduction of stabilized hyaluronic acid. Such a case is typical for some patients, if the blood vessels are located abnormally. As soon as the attending physician notices the first symptoms, hyaluronidase must be administered immediately, so that a serious complication can be avoided.
Correction of the so-called Tyndall effect - when the skin acquires an unnatural shade as a result of the filling, because the light is reflected differently;
Prevention of the formation of granulomas - granulomas are the result of an inflammatory process occurring at the injection site, when the body begins to perceive hyaluronic acid-based fillers as foreign substances. The only effective treatment in this case is the administration of hyaluronidase to radically remove the substance that causes the negative immune response.
In all these cases, hyaluronidase is the fastest, most effective and safest means of eliminating the undesirable consequences associated with the injection of hyaluronic acid fillers.
