Face contouring

Contouring is the introduction of special hyaluronic acid-based fillers into problem areas of the skin in small doses in order to fill up the volume. Hyaluronic acid - the main component of fillers - is the natural intercellular environment of the skin, the amount of which decreases with age. Contouring and "filling" can correct the appearance of the lips, nasolabial folds, chin and cheekbones, orbital area and forehead

The treatment helps to successfully solve such types of problems as:

  • too thin lips or their vague contour;
  • mimic wrinkles at the corners of the mouth;
  • asymmetry, lip defects (for example, due to injury);
  • strong nasolabial folds;
  • horizontal wrinkles on the forehead;
  • vertical folds in the area between the eyebrows;
  • "crow's feet" (wrinkles around the eyes)
  • traces of acne;
  • sunken face, thin layer of fat on the cheeks;
  • the irregular shape of the chin, weakly defined contours.

The filler required for contouring is injected with a thin, sterile needle using special technology. Local anesthesia can be used. Depending on the complexity of the procedure, it can take up to an hour.

Preparation for the procedure:

Before preparing for facial contouring, it is worth following a few recommendations:

  •  do not take aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs for 3 days before the procedure;
  •  contouring of the nasolabial folds can only be performed when the skin is fully restored (e.g. laser or radiofrequency rejuvenation procedure before the hyaluronic acid treatment).

One of the main advantages of contouring is that after just one treatment, the appearance of the face changes, it becomes youthful and fresh! Another advantage is the speed and painlessness of the procedure, as local anesthesia can be used.

After the filler is applied, the skin becomes smooth, elastic, and wrinkles disappear.

The result of contouring will be noticeable immediately and will last for about a year - it all depends on the individual characteristics of the body and the absorption of the active ingredient, which means a different time period for everyone.

Over time, wrinkles return and repeated interventions may be necessary.

However, one of the positives of contouring is that fillers not only temporarily reduce facial wrinkles, but also encourage the body to produce its own collagen and hyaluronic acid.

Actions after treatment:

- within a few hours after the injection of the filler, it is recommended to avoid excessive tension of the facial muscles in the area of the bridge of the nose, lips, and nasolabial folds;

- within 2 weeks after the injection, it is not recommended to expose the face to self-tanning products, sunlight or excessive heat (ultraviolet, sauna, etc.);

– do not touch or massage the injection site;

– you can use cosmetics or traditional skin care products the day after contouring.
