Diode lasers represent the most advanced hair removal technology. The energy of the laser is absorbed in the hair follicles, but at the same time it avoids the melanin in the skin. During the treatment, the energy of the laser prevents the regrowth of the hair. In this case, the laser beam must penetrate several millimeters into the skin to reach the hair follicle. When it reaches the melanin in the hair, it is absorbed and converted into heat. The darker, thicker and denser the hair, the stronger the heat. The heat damage caused in this way to the cells in the hair follicle and its immediate surroundings, responsible for hair regrowth, results in a drastic reduction of hairs in the treated area.
At the same time, adequate cooling of the skin must be ensured during the treatment. The Asclepion Mediostar laser is equipped with effective, integrated skin cooling, which always cools the upper layer of the skin before the light pulse, and in addition to protecting the epidermis, makes the treatment more comfortable.
